Gerber Paper felt that The Litterboom Project, an organisation that assists with waste education and tackles plastic pollution, was a deserving cause. The Litterboom Project was started in 2017 by CEO Cameron Service and the operation aims to alleviate the increase in marine plastic pollution, by targeting river systems as 80% of ocean plastic originates up stream.
