Passion, grit, and community aren’t just words; they’re at the heart of everything we do. We saw those values brought to life by the incredible Comrades Marathon supporters and athletes.
We arrived early at the Westville checkpoint on the M13, with a great view of the Comrades athletes. We came prepared with drinks, fruit, sandwiches, and sweets, all of which were eagerly welcomed by grateful runners. The energy at our Comrades roadside tent was electric, and even top athletes stopped by. One runner couldn’t resist grabbing a handful of jelly babies!
A special shoutout to our own Warren Bamber, Sales Manager for our Sack & Bag Kraft Paper Division, who participated in his 4th Comrades Marathon, and his 2nd representing the Gerber Paper team.
Being part of this day reminded us why we keep coming back. The Comrades Marathon is more than a race, it’s a celebration of resilience and unity.
