On Thursday, 25th July 25th 2024, Gerber Paper and GGG subsidiaries—Gerber Trading, Sanji, and Emcom—gathered at the beautiful Blue Lagoon beach for an inspiring community initiative.
In partnership with environmental organisation Litterboom, led by Josh Redman, the teams gathered at the Ezemvelo Beachwood Mangroves Nature Reserve to kick off a day dedicated to giving back.
Fuelled by a delicious braai of boerewors and chicken rolls, the team set out determined to tackle the beach’s growing pollution problem.
Over the course of two hours, the dedicated team worked hard to clean up the area. While acknowledging that their efforts barely scratched the surface of the issue, the day served as a reminder of the significant impact that collective action can have. This event was not just about environmental stewardship but also about strengthening bonds within the team.
It was a marvellous day of team building, all while contributing to the well-being of the
community. Together, we’re committed to making a difference, one step at a time.
