At Gerber Paper, we believe in grabbing every opportunity to support our fellow South Africans in meaningful ways while building our own team culture and spirit. That is why we are so proud to have been part of the Comrades Marathon once again this year.
Soaking up the electric atmosphere, we set up our support tent in the early morning hours. Armed with water, juice, energy drinks, and plenty of snacks, we spent the day cheering on the incredible athletes tackling this iconic race.
A very special shout-out goes to our very own Warren Bamber, who made us all immensely proud. The team rallied behind Warren with giant handmade posters, offering full support to him and any other runner who spotted us along the route and needed a little extra motivation.
Not only did we support our own people, but we also caught a glimpse of several valued customers participating in the race, making the day feel even more special. Moments like these remind us that the Comrades Marathon is about so much more than just running. It is about community, perseverance, and bringing people together, whether you are on the sidelines cheering or knee-deep in the race.
To every runner who crossed the finish line, every supporter who cheered from the sidelines, and every volunteer and organiser who made the event possible, congratulations on another incredibly successful event. We are honoured to have been part of it once again.
